Budget/Finance Committee

 

Purpose

 

To be responsible for and authority over the disposition of church funds (except as provided in the Constitution and Bylaws of the congregation) and over the preparation and oversight of the annual operation and benevolent budget.

 

Responsibilities

 

1.  Review the financial reports prepared by the Treasurer using the information from the General Fund.

2.  Review Capital projects with the Consistory.

3.  Allocate the investment of monetary gifts, bequests,and non cash properties that can be converted into financial assets.

4.  Periodically review investments of the Church and make recommendations to Consistory when deemed necessary.

 

Membership

 

The committee consists of three members; one elected each year for a three year term.  Additionally, both the treasurer and assistant treasurer serve as voting members of the committee.
